Although I was excited for her performance, I honestly was not excited about the actual film. It seemed like a “wannabe” Kill Bill. The advertisements for the film made it seem like just another generic action movie. However, I was definitely ... When he was 17, he moved to Nashville and signed his first record label. Not only can he sing and write, but also has co-written songs for Rascal Flatts and Montgomery Gentry. Since iTunes, I only buy a few songs off an album, but after listening to a few of Hunter’s songs ... Wed, 02 Nov 2011 04:00:00 GMT http://www.mediahope.com/index.cfm?PID=18802&artid=115 Footloose. The remake. http://www.mediahope.com/index.cfm?PID=18802artid=113 This weekend I saw the remake of Footloose, the story of Ren McCormick boy (played by Kenny Wormald), a Boston raised teenager who moves to a small Georgia town where dancing has been prohibited. Footloose originally came out in 1984 with Kevin Bacon playing Ren. For the most part, the new version stays pretty close with the original script. The biggest difference is the sexuality in the movie, especially in the language. For a PG-13 movie, I was a little taken back at some of the word choices ... Writing - of course - endures, but in the rapidly changing technological world in which we live, words are for more likely to be typed on a screen than printed on a page. Many college students have never set foot in a library because of the resources available on their computers. Yet, an even greater threat to books has arisen in the form of e-readers. Not only Nook and Kindle, but also the extremely popular iPad have become platforms ... Ben Flajnik has just been announced as the new bachelor. Last season on The Bachelorette, Ashley Hebert rejected Ben's marriage proposal at the altar.  From the beginning of last season, Ben was one of my favorites. Being one of the most down-to-earth and genuine guys on the show, Ben wasn't your typical contender on The Bachelorette. Not only did his personality shine out from the other men but also so did his looks. It is ... His new TV show, Terra Nova kicked off with a two-hour premier, and as I was watching the show, I kept thinking to myself, “did I already watch this?” I then realized that it wasn’t that I had seen it before, just that it had all been done before. The rebellious teenage son, the geeky daughter and the amazing do-good parents have all been seen in numerous movies ... The movie will be released on DVD October 18, 2011. Be prepared for another Disney Channel type movie - and it is rated PG, so you can get that “feel-good” sense when it is over. Although juvenile, the film does have a way of portraying how friendships can unify and grow through challenging ... Wed, 05 Oct 2011 04:00:00 GMT http://www.mediahope.com/index.cfm?PID=18802&artid=110 I miss you, Michael Scott. http://www.mediahope.com/index.cfm?PID=18802artid=107 It just isn't the same. Michael Scott, please come back. Season eight of “The Office” aired last night with a new boss. Season seven left viewers hanging, not knowing who would take Michael’s job as regional manager. Andy Bernard was finally chosen to fill Michael’s place and a new character, Robert California was filled as the new CEO. My favorite part of the episode was during the first two minutes, showing everyone’s addiction to “planking.” The ...
